JUNETEETH

Juneteenth

Juneteenth day, a June 19 holiday, celebrates and symbolizes the end of slavery in the United States. President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation on September 22, 1862. The formal end of slavery was marked by the passing of the 13th amendment of the constitution.
